Research Technicians
Denise Gregoire began working with SEARMI in May 2005. She received her B. S. in Biology from University of Minnesota and has also worked with herps in South Dakota and Texas. Denise has worked on several projects with SEARMI. She prepared a field guide to tadpole identification for the southeastern United States, which is currently in development as an official USGS publication. In the summer of 2006 she conducted several experiments evaluating the effects of fish predation on tadpoles of gopher frogs (Rana capito), which she is currently preparing for publication. dgregoire@usgs.gov
Clint Smith began volunteering for SEARMI in May 2005, and began working as a full-time employee in May 2006. Clint received his B. S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from University of Florida in 2005. In addition to assisting with SEARMI's research on the effects of hurricane overwash on freshwater ponds at St Marks National Wildlife Refuge, Clint will be conducting a project in the summer of 2006 evaluating the effects of baiting on trap efficiency of crayfish traps for large aquatic salamanders. csmith@usgs.gov
